Module 2 Preparation & Learning Resources
The purpose of this page.
This page will contain all the information a student may need to study for a module. It may not be necessary to study ALL of the material. The goal is to provide choices for a student that fit their learning style. If a specific resources is to be used, the instructor will make that clear to the students.
Textbook/ Flexbook PagesOur Holt Physics textbook has information about graphing motion spread across two sections of chapter 2. You can find the information on pages 40-59. Be sure to look at the illustrations on the sides of the pages.
Click on the following link to a flexbook website. it has both text and video information about graphing motion. |
Instructional/ Lecture VideosHere is a great video I found on YouTube that explains very nicely what you need to know about graphing motion. I didn't make it - obviously - but that's not important. The information is great.
Difference Between Displacement & DistanceA short, fun video that explains very nicely the difference between distance and displacement.

Power PointI am making several Power Point presentations available to you over the following concepts:

Web PagesThe Physics Classroom has great information. There is not a specific section on graphing motion, but you will notice that the chapter on 1 dimensional kinematics has several lessons dealing with graphing motion and ticker tape diagrams. We will be using this website frequently.
